  • Overarching analysis of the Financial Resilience Index 2025: Florence Bastos, Public Finance Technical Advisor at CIPFA is joining us for an analysis of this year's FRI key findings, including deficits, homelessness, SEND, business rates, and social care. She’ll also be sticking around for a live Q&A.
  • Live demonstration of the new Financial Resilience Index and FRI+ dashboards: Richard Van Ross will dive into the new FRI and FRI+ whilst touching on how other dashboards on Stats+ feed into the indicators and other themes of financial resilience.
  • Q&A with the panel: Florence Bastos and Richard Van Ross will open up the floor for questions from the audience.

Meet the Speakers

Richard Van Ross

Richard is the Analytics Manager at Infoshare+ and oversees the development of the Stats+ Analytics platform. He joined us from CIPFA in November 2024 and has been analysing local government data for over seven years. During much of that time, he’s been involved in the production and maintenance of the Financial Resilience Index.

Florence Bastos

Florence

Florence is an advisor in CIPFA’s Public financial management team. Florence leads the delivery of CIPFA/Infoshare Financial Resilience Index, helping councils, finance leaders, and policymakers understand and address financial pressures facing local government today.
